What happened at the end of 101 Dalmatians? ›

The ending is portrayed as a 'happy' one where Roger and Anita Radcliffe, the human husband and wife protagonists of the story, save all of the Dalmatian puppies and agree to adopt every last one and move to a farm where they can all live happily ever after.

Cruella survives, then she and LePelt are both arrested. Chloe and Kevin, exonerated from the theft accusation, return to London and are personally awarded the remnants of Cruella's fortune by Alonzo himself. Oddball's coat finally develops a few small spots, much to everyone's surprise.

102 Dalmatians (2000)

It is the sequel to the 1996 film 101 Dalmatians and stars Glenn Close reprising her role as Cruella de Vil as she attempts to steal puppies for her "grandest" fur coat yet. Among the puppies she plans to use are the children of Dipstick, a son of Pongo and Perdita.

Estella flirts with and pursues Bentley Drummle, a disdainful rival of Pip's, and eventually marries him because she wants to break the other gentlemen suitor's hearts just like Miss Havisham told her to do.

Estella knows that she does not have the ability to love Pip, or anyone else, so she tells him the truth. She chooses to not be with Pip because she realizes that she cannot give him anything and feels that this is unfair to Pip. Estella's actions show that she is not an evil person, but a somewhat empathetic one.

Cruella saw dalmations the same as a cash crop. She Intended to slaughter them to harvest their fur. What infuriated her about the dogs is that they were clever enough to manuever escapes and cause destruction in the areas they were being held. That meant more work for her and her henchmen.

In the book, Anita Darling is the owner — or, as author Dodie Smith so cheekily put it, "pet" — of dog mom Perdita. Perdita births 15 pups at the start of 101 Dalmatians, but later becomes responsible for 99 when she and the Starlight Barking network help a herd of stolen pups to safety.

In the live-action spin-off film, Perdita has a cameo appearance in the post-credits scene. She is a small Dalmatian puppy given to Anita Darling as a gift from Cruella De Vil, thanking her for her help in the arrest of Baroness Von Hellman.

At the end of the film, she and her henchmen are arrested and sent to prison, with the Dearlys able to buy a large house after Roger's latest video game (inspired by the puppies' ordeal) proves a success when he also makes Cruella the villain within the game's storyline.

In June 2021, a representative of Disney Television Animation News reached out to the producers during Annecy 2021 and announced that Disney cancelled the series after one season due to low ratings in North America. This was also confirmed by series director Miklós Weigert, who had no plans in doing a second season.

Cruella and her henchmen go on a hunt to try to find them, but Anita and Roger figure out what happened and eventually Cruella, Horace, and Jasper are all arrested and the puppies are returned home safely. Anita and Roger end up with all 101 dogs. Voilà.
