I feel we can all take a lesson from Stanley 1913…especially when it comes to marketing yourself. If you’ve become stagnant, irrelevant or “comfortable” in a current position, maybe it’s time to shake your “brand” up and see where it can take you! #transition #rebrand #marketing

#SummerSeries2023When I was a summer, I got a call from recruiting about wanting to put on a #juneteenth event. They had mixed up myself and the other black girl in the summer program #ifyouknowyouknow. Ultimately, the three black summers appreciated the gesture of them trying to have an event to commemorate this day in #americanhistory (way before the trauma blacks everywhere was enduring amid #coronavirus #lockdowns of 2020). Here are a few tips for the companies that say they're honoring juneteenth but are still struggling 3 years after it became a federal holiday:✅ Keep the non-urgent emails at bay until tomorrow✅ Make sure Keisha has access to the same opportunities as Katie year-round✅ Believe black people when they complain and stop rationalizing bad behavior (they likely have data) when they report✅ Hold bad actors accountable and smoke out incivility once and for all⚡ BONUS ⚡ If your company has less than 15% black folks in your individual locations or globally, time to roll out a plan to be more like a cross-section of society (not just better than your competitors, since you are all lagging behind)#happyjuneteenth #opportunities #trauma #recruiting #society #goodbusiness

What a fabulous four week's over at Wimbledon Blacks. The team have been tremendously supportive with my goals and direction for the store. With the team, we set just to simple targets. Everyone agreed, everyone got involved and everyone showed pure determination to achieve. We focused on our service model, leading with focused team briefs to help plan our days, and effectively promote successes between one another, whilst keeping in mind inclusion of all, using a a positive and competitive dialogue that helped engage all those involved. From 4.7 to 4.8, in just four weeks with a 4.9 trustpilot rating just round the corner I am sure...But the biggest achievement for Wimbledons determined team was that they managed to hit q2 target. This was significant as they had only 4 weeks to achieve a target that usually takes 3 months. Extremely proud of the team, and it's a great example that putting your team first, being there for them, listening, empowering and making sure it's kept fun, everyone's involved and most importantly empathy done respectfully will always create a winning team. This has reinforced my belief around understanding the current work culture, then creating the right culture, but build the right culture with your team. The best teams are all included!!!!Proud Wimbledon Blacks store. Great Job guys and girls!!!#Blacks #wearejdoutdoors #millets #gooutdoors #teamsuccess #inclusion #determination #goalsetting

In recognition of #GlobalAccessibilityAwarenessDay, we are excited to share a story of tech-enabled inclusion by our Walmart International Design and Walmart Sourcing Teams.-------------------------------------------------------------------Our aim is to foster an accessible culture from the ground up throughout our company, and we encourage associates to prioritize accessibility in the work they do. We do this by understanding the needs of people with disabilities within our organization. As part of our field research, we identified a visually-impaired Sourcing associate who was struggling to read paper tags. This sparked an idea to make those tags digitally available to everyone, which, in turn, helped increase the productivity of all associates.Intuitive experiences, whether digital, product, or physical, begin with inclusion and deeper recognition of challenges. Accessible solutions help us reach a wider audience, enhance customer satisfaction and boost associate morale and productivity. Creating accessible products and a more inclusive workplace is not only the right thing to do, but it is also great for business!Pratik Shah#GAAD#accessibility#inclusion#a11y#InclusionWeek
