I know it’s the tail end of peach season, but I couldn’t resist sharing this recipe with you that I’ve been dreaming about for the past two years.I am SO happy to finally see this luscious dessert come to fruition.

I don't know about you, but I LOVE tiramisu. My first time trying it was actually on our trip to Italy four years ago, in a cooking class in Florence, and I was obsessed. The traditional Italian tiramisu we tried was made with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, a luscious mascarpone cream filling, and topped with cocoa powder. It was absolutely delicious, but also a labor of love! And if you're chasing around a 13-month-old all day, it's not always easy to find the time for these kinds of "labor of love" baking projects. Hence my reason for today's super EASY (lazy man's) tiramisu recipe.

Ingredients in Easy Peach Tiramisu

  • Heavy cream
  • Cream cheese:I like to use Neufchatel cheese as it has the same texture and flavor as cream cheese, but it has ⅓ of the fat that cream cheese does.
  • Powdered sugar
  • Peaches:Use the freshest peaches you can find. You don't want anything too under-ripe or overripe or else it will affect the flavor and consistency of the tiramisu.
  • Peach nectar: You'll use peach nectar for dipping the ladyfingers as well as soaking the peaches to prevent them from browning.
  • Ladyfingers:If you can't find ladyfingers, sponge cake or pound cake work as great substitutes!
  • Mint:Mint isn't added to the tiramisu (I feel like that would be a bit weird!), but it makes a lovely garnish when serving the dessert.
  • Sliced almonds: Almonds are the perfect way to add texture to the tiramisu.

Tips for Making Easy Peach Tiramisu

  • I used a 7x11" baking pan to make this tiramisu. If you'd prefer to use a 9x13" pan (or larger), I recommend doubling the recipe.
  • You can easily swap my cream cheese filling for a mascarpone filling if you prefer a more "traditional" tiramisu.
  • I used Jumex peach nectar for this recipe, but Kerns or any other brand you can find would work equally as well. If you have a hard time finding peach nectar, you could always try substituting for another flavor of nectar or juice.

If you are all for making life easy, and you like trying new flavorful ideas, then this is one recipe I know you'll enjoy making and eating. But, for all of you "tiramisu filling purists" out there, you can easily swap out my cream cheese filling for the classic mascarpone kind. I promise I won't be offended!

This peach tiramisu may not be traditional in the slightest, but it's the perfect way to enjoy those juicy ripe peaches before the season ends.

I tried to leave a review and five star rating for your wonderful peach tiramisu recipe but had no luck. I’ll try to do that here:
This is a fantastic and easy recipe. I used mascarpone. I used fine sugar instead of powdered. I tossed the peaches in a little vanilla and almond flavoring which I also added to the peach nectar that I dipped the ladyfingers in. I added a squeeze of lemon juice also to the dipping mixture. Your recipe is inspired; the sliced almonds are an excellent addition. I’ll be making this a lot!!

Thank you for your kind comment Nancy! I'm so glad you enjoyed the recipe, it sounds like you made some delicious additions to it! I'm not sure why the recipe rating wasn't work, but I'll have to see if I can get that fixed. 😉
